The Team behind Hive
Hive was founded with a mission to create meaningful opportunities for Indigenous people facing various challenges. Our leaders share a vision of building a better future through support, collaboration, and sustainable growth.
Director and Project Manager Edward Smart, a proud Yuin / Dunghutti man, brings 26 years of experience rooted in cultural respect and quality. Director, Builder and Construction Manager Mirko Mor, with 28 years in the industry, is known for delivering complex projects with precision and efficiency. General Manager Luci Mor, with 20 years in healthcare management, strengthens Hive’s commitment to operational excellence and seamless project delivery.
Together, they are dedicated to building a lasting impact within the construction industry.
Meet the Team
Yarning Circles
Yarning circles, deeply rooted in the traditions of my Yuin and Dunghutti ancestors, have been integral to our way of life for thousands of years.
Among the Yuin people, yarning circles were a sacred space where Elders and community members gathered to share Dreaming stories that carried the wisdom of our land, seas, and skies. For the Dunghutti people, these circles were vital for decision-making, resolving disputes, and teaching younger generations about our cultural practices and values.
These spaces nurtured connections to our ancestors, the natural world, and each other, embodying respect, unity, and collective strength. Today, yarning circles continue to honour these ancient traditions while evolving to support both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
